Anyone had any experience of fitting the Spoon air duct as per the above link

Seems awfully expensive but if it's effective I might consider..........I was stuck on the M25 this morning and had the worst kangarooing I'd ever experienced....virually stalled the car and looks a total twat

Paul, the Spoon air duct is (as I understand it) very very very VERY similar to the AusS2000 air intake extension which a number of people on the board (including me) have got and have been pleased with. It's pretty easy to fit - the hardest part is removing the rivets which hold the plastic airguide in place.

It has almost completely eliminated kangaooing for me

Incidentally, my Aus intake will be up for grabs shortly as and when the PRM group buy arrives.

I believe so, yes. I think he has stopped producing all of his range of S2000 goodies.

Zero

I've had two! They are a doddle to fit but I was a little bit dissapointed with the construction of the first one. Not what I expected when paying

Depends how you deal with the air guide. One school of thought (I know CC did it this way) holds that it is better to cut the air guide so that the CAI fits from the airbox and goes through a hole in the air guide. I assume that the rationale is that it leaves most of the air guide in place to do whatever it is that it does.

The other school of thought (which Tonky, who fitted my CAI for me - cheers Tonky! - advocated) is simply removing the plastic air guide completely. If you do that, no cutting required.

If you do not cut the air guide, you engine temps will run hotter, you will get into the ECU temperature correcttion table during the summer, the ECU will add some fuel and you will make slightly less power, have slightly more chance of bogging, and get slightly less mpg. Given it's about
