I think the ambulance service were trying to get rid of speed bumps but now with the smaller bumps we can straddle them so they don't cause much problem now - unless some idiots parked on the side of one!!!

I hate speed bumps though I guess I can see why they've been put in - its pretty steep and very twisty but I use the road everyday and have never seen any evidence of crashes or seen anyone do anything stupid. Whats really irrirating is that I like to do a suicide skate down there too, its a lot more difficult with those things in the way!

Couldn't you add these obstacles into your run (roll?) down the hill? make them into little jump kinda things?

Speedbumps were intoduced everywhere round me to stop the chav's running riot in their freshly stolen nova's and saxo's

interestingly enough instead of slowing them down they just lose control and use the nearest thing to hand to stop their forward momentum

an example being the guy down the road who now has a garage with only three walls.....

Yep - skates are lethal in the wet as I'm sure Kate will attest, but good if you like sliding sideways ........
