Can. Worms. Open.

The diesel branded edge sport 5w40 seems to be a very popular choice of oil for the S2000 Ade. Castrol themselves have said that they've pigeonholed the product by calling it diesel oil.

There are a number of oil gurus on here who can I'm sure offer some more detail as to why it's suitable for the S2000..

Just back from my local store having taken up the deal. The screwdrivers aren't too bad and come in a nifty case so no complaints as far as freebies go. I've even taped the receipt on the inside cover of the case because they come with a lifetime guarantee, I'll make sure I get my monies worth

£14.99 for the 1L top up is crazy though - I should have just bought another 4L etc..

Put mine into a main dealer for a service, supplied my own oil,5+1 litres of Mobil 1 & they used the 5 litre bottle & a bit of the 1 litre as well.

Perfectly normal - they will use anything up to 5.8l

Because its what Honda UK and Castrol told me to use when Honda dealers changed the oil they use for servicing and i queried it. So i now supply my own. (bit of a pi$$er as i always got a free Castrol 1L top up kit with my service, that used to be the norm for Type R's S2000 and NSX car's.)
