Speaker wiring. Which is positive?

Default Speaker wiring. Which is positive?

As above, im trying to fit new speakers, but i have one red wire with a grey stripe and one green with yellow stripe. Does anyone know which one is which?
Car is a 2001 JDM

It doesn't matter, so long as the colours are on the same polarity at the other end (i.e. the back of the head unit).

If you can't get the head unit out to look, just power it up with some music on (low volume) and swap the connections each time till it doesn't sound shit.

Place the speakers facing each other and add some volume.
Swap one speaker pair over and see if the bass increases or vanishes.
If one is wired wrongly, the bass will arrive out of phase and cancel itself out.
As mentioned, it doesn't matter what pair go where so long as it sounds correct in the bass.

You can also turn up the volume and stick a multimeter on there.

You will actually get small +/- readings!

Isn't the larger spade connector normally the positive?
