Speaker alternatives
So I've been over to the states recently and love the Polk 6501 speakers.
Now I'm back though I've realised you just can't get them in the UK! I'm not willing to pay the same again on postage + import tax so I'm wondering if there are any UK alternatives in the same range of quality.
Or even a cheeky Polk supplier I simply haven't seen?

You should have got them in the states when you had the chance if you really wanted them. Plenty of quality alternatives. Go to a car audio specialist. Different speakers work differently in other cars so what sounds good in a hatchback might not sound as good in a roadster

Not sure how much the Polks are but the Focal K2 components seems to be quite popular. I have the lesser Focal Access 165A1 driven only by an Alpine head unit and Ratty is right, they sound great in my Golf but average in the S2000. I think they really need to be amped to get the best from them in the S so that's on my Summer shopping list.

Thanks chaps, I know I should have bought them, especially considering there is no customs on my flights! Lesson learned...
I'll look into these focal speakers they sound like they might fit the bill.
