spark plugs (is this normal?)
hello everyone,
getting ready for the next 6k
i have finally got around to giving the S some love today and done all the basic's.
filters, fluid's, plug's etc.
when i took the plugs out they looked as if the ceramic has started to burn, i know they run hot but is this normal?
thanks to everyone for all the information which helped my first service on the S go so easy.
P.S. Neil, if you are reading this, thanks for sending the alpine adaptor so quick, job for tomorrow.

It's corona stain and is perfectly normal. The voltage in the plug is so high that the potential difference around the top of the body and the insulator creates a plasma. The negative charge draws any oil/dirt against the insulator and creates that staining. Won't affect performance at all.
So long as the insulator is secure in the body there's no problem
