Spark Plugs

Spark Plugs
I know the NKG replacement part number but I've never been a fan of platinum plugs, cost and spark, I'm much happier changing coppers every 15 to 20k.
Having done a search I could only find advice saying stick with OEM's, I am after the correct copper equivilant (unless someone can come out with a very valid reason not to).
So far my search suggests NGK 7173 is the plug to go for. Any other recommendations and also the correct gap?

I;d have to compare the tip sizes etc but from experience I've always had stronger pull frop copper plugs. Copper being a great conductor, plus coppers are cheaper.
I've had issues with an iridium tip hardening in the past causing a bit of damage when it came off.
I'm used to running and tuning chevvy v8's, the recent ones came with platinums purely to lengthen service intervals. The tips were tiny compared to coppers and found a much stronger response from going back to coppers.
Also the cost, regardless of age/mile limit on the iridium/platinum tips I'd change them every 20k anyway
