Spare wheel when you run aftermarket wheels

I'll take all your space-savers, I've fancied doing this...

On a somewhat serious note, does a full size rear wheel fit in the boot alright? I've not had a puncture yet and never thought to try...

Yeah, I think the reality is if we get a puncture is going to be a ball ache anyway. Best case you faff around swapping wheels from front to back/hope you dont have a passenger...
I have an electric tyre pump so for slow punctures that would inflate it enough to get to a tyre shop, if thats no good I'll use tyre weld. If I get a catastrophic tyre failure then it's AA time. Then I'll use the space for storing stuff

That vid is the nuts,
As I understand it.....a 16inch fully delated will fit in the boot (just), not tried a 17in but I think it would be neigh on impossible. So unless you are Jonny no mates, ditch the skinny and bung in the tyre weld (or inkey pinky inflator gismo). The added advantage is no faffing about swapping front to back if you have a rear puncture.
As an aside, next track/limits day whos going to get four skinnies together and do the vid with an S?

I had a great idea - buy one of these:
http://www.conticomfortkit.co.uk/
Looks great - full self contained, so no mucking about with separate bottles of goo.
Then I discovered two problems: it won't fit in the spare wheel recesss, and it blows the 10A fuse on the accessory socket. It now sits in the boot and I have a 15A fuse for temporary use.

I am sure I have read some where if you have a rear wheel punture you are suppose to put the front weel on the rear and use the space saver on the front, I'm sure I will soon be corrected if this is wrong.
I purchased a Honda compressor and tyre repair kit brand new off e-bay for £25-00, it is out of a Civic, and took the space saver out. If we have a puncture how do you carry the punctured wheel with a full boot? If I can't get away with the tyre repair kit then I will get to use my breakdown cover.
With the extra boot space this allows Madam Santenay to take the washing machine and more clothes not to wear on holiday and we can bring more wine back.
