I was shatty myself about what you guys were talking about. I had no idea and was wondering whether it's an S2000 or not we're talking about.

lastly, is it possible to get a spare immobiliser key?

Not kidding. I got 1 grey valet key, 2 black keys plus a metal plate with the key code on it for future spares.

Depends what immobiliser you have on the car - if it is recognisable brand, then you could contact one of the authorised installers and get yourself a spare.

Nick he's getting a JDM

MT - I would check that you have all the keys because as a prospective buyer I would pass on a car that didn't have all the keys. I've just checked my keys - Vixen is correct there should be:

1 red
1 grey
2 black

MT - get on the blower mate.

MY04 onwards only get 2 keys. One of which is supposed to be the "valet" key.

So far, all of us with 04s only have two keys, so I'm a bit more reassured.

Good news, since my dealer is (a) now nearly 100 miles away since I moved but rather more importantly (b) now a Mitsubishi rather than Honda dealer!

If you look in the manual, it explains that we only get 2 keys and what the keys are for!
