Default Spacers for 17cm (6.5") rear speakers?

Has anyone got a spacer for the larger rear speaker to fit in the panel?

My 13cm rears are sounding pretty wasted now and want to get some larger 17cm's for the rear. Does lucid do the spacer? has anyone used anything else?

There isn't enough clearance at the back of the panel for a big speaker. I think the biggest rears, are 13cm's running in S-Pods - special mounts that fit in the roll hoops. Search for S-Pods and you should find quite a bit - you can certainly fit a bigger and better placed rear speaker with them.

I fitted JBL 452's in the back last weekend, you do not need spacers for these as the magnets are just smaller than the metalwork (I bit tight, but okay).

The problem is the size of the magnet, you be able to fit bigger speakers with spacers as long as the magnets are not bigger than the 452's, else you want to jigsaw the metalwork!

Exactly. I have 13cm at the moment, so if i put a 17cm in i'll probably need to pull the speaker 1inch away form the panel to get the magnet clearance sitting in about the same position as the 13cm - i have no problem with that as my seats are never all the way back - and you can never see back there anyway. Think i'll make a standard MDF spacer with a 17cm speaker with a small magnet and see how that works.
