Yes, and if you compared a fully soundproofed S2000 with my Boxster you would sleep.
Fixed that for you
So that's what a moderator is for

Yes, and if you compared a fully soundproofed S2000 with my Boxster you would weep.
When the noise insulation is designed in it isolates the noises from the cabin so much better than Blue Peter cut and stick.
As i said - under NO illusions about the build quality differences but then I like tinkering and a car that looks the same going both ways doesn't float my boat no matter how much better built it is
I also enjoyed five years of tinkering with my S2000 as documented on here. I have very little negative to say about it but do agree with you about the build quality.

I think the Boxster looks all right, but we are all different

Clearly, can't afford a 911..

Just kidding... I never believed in that Top Gear bollox. It looks fantastic in black! What model year is it?

If you're worried about road noise you really shouldn't be driving a soft-top.

I'm in the same boat - I'd like to reduce the noise a bit for the motorway. I've been toying with the idea of getting a kit from here: www.noisekiller.co.uk

The guy e-mailed me the details of the kit they do for the S2k - £195. They will fit it for another £100 I think.

Has anyone tried replacing the carpet underlay with sound proof mats? Might offset the weight and remove some of the road noise.
Just a thought.
