I have a SONY MDX-630 from my previous car, that I'd like to fit into the S. The thing is, the sony has quite a fat/deep motorised panel (haven't measured it yet) and am worried it may hit the stereo flap when it's up.

Does anyone have one fitted or know if it is a problem?

I'll worry about the interface working if I can establish it will actually fit - otherwise I'll just flog it in the old car.

It already has an input for the SONY stalk so surely there must be another type of interface available in the UK other than the Modifry or Lucid whatever it's called

Why don't you measure how deep the front is, then maybe somebody can help.

Most folk on here seem to have either stuck with the stock unit, or fitted alpine kit as, in the past, that's what the dash controls worked with..
