It's as meaningful as 0-60 or any other measurement of speed over time.
But it gives a better impression of what the car is like to drive day to day than 0-60 which seems to have become the way most people decide on a car's performance.

At least with 0-60, pretty much everyone knows what's what. People know what a fast time is, and what a slow time is. Also, the 0-60 time also gives an indication of how quick the car will be between set speeds and at different speeds. 50-70 seems more dependant on gear ratios, than power or weight.

50-70 is another well used road test figure...generally done in top gear & flooring the throttle...but this is where diesel & auto's come into their own with huge lowdown torque & kickdown....
50-70 in sixth in a S2000....that would be about a week....

IMO 0-60 means feck all and is a complete waste of time. My Audi S3 had a 0-60 of 6.4 secs, but needed 3 gears to get there. So many manufacturers raise the gearing to allow the 0-60 to squeeze into 2 gears. Its useless,
The only good judge of speed I think would be a 20-120mph and 0-100mph. In gear times are very important, especially for overtaking where the majority of our accleration is needed.
