Default Some info for those that pay £405 road tax

Went to renew today, my cars a 2001 that i imported in 2008, So the tax is the bastard expensive one...............Anyway................

£245 for the year


What a result!!! Good news for us eh guys?

Looks like they class yours as a band K (Band K includes cars that have a CO2 figure over 225g/km but were registered before 23 March 2006).

Mine was registered May 06 so it's a band L £425

You should buy me a pint to make me feel better with all that money you're saving

f**k it, am goina take the cat off, might as well now! Could someone enlighten me on this, why is my friend who drives a manoro VXR(400 +bhp, V8 etc) pays only £200 odd pounds??!

WTF when did this come in I paid around 220 last year. last year it was based on pre 04 (or different year as cant remember) as mine is a 02 ,then if it was newer it got the higher rate

What is the OP's point here? Pre-2006 cars were always going to pay £245. There was about a 3 month period where they were going up the same as post-2006 but the government backed down a long time ago.

I would imagine all you guys and gals paying £405 per annum must have such a warm glow knowing you are making such a fine contribution to the up keep of our wonderful road system!

Might as well add a front crankcase breather too - good for the engine .
