I had some fitted last week. If the dealer can't order the right tyres (they are probably trying to order S02 Pole Position - the generic S02 - which have been discontinued AFAIK) then I wouldn't trust them with anything else to do with the S.
As said before, don't buy tyres from a dealer. I was charged ~

Here is the official answer, sent to me by email from Bridgestone.

Hi Andy,
The normal SO2 is no longer made by us, however the S2000 ESO2 is still made
so they shouldn't have any trouble getting hold of them.

Perhaps we should have a printable page in the FAQ section for every time some dealer fobs off an owner with bullshit.
To be fair, it's often the grease monkeys at the local tyre despot that are bullshitting your dealer.

My s-03 PP's handle well enough for me. Though i have never had s-02's on the car. The last owner changed his s-02's for bloody pirelli p6000 on the rear and continentals on the back! Geeeze!
