Some Honda dealers can't get S02's
Thought I would post this I have a work colleague that needs some new rears for his S2000 the garage is saying that they can't get any S02's for it as Bridgestone have ceased production. They are suggesting S03's or S04's instead.(didn't know that there was such a thing but I guess I only really knew about the S02's because they are the ones on the car!)
The dealer also put the wrong fronts on when he had them changed a while back.
Has any one else had problems getting S02's?

I read something on S2000 Talk about US dealers not getting them, and that Bridgestone had ceased production too.
Suggest phone Honda UK and see what their new "recommended" tyre is.
Or just get some Eagle F1's

I can see a lot of S2000s coming up for sale as some owners will be unable to come to terms with the idea of fitting another tyre.
Just checked out the Bridgestone web site and the only tyres available in the correct size is the S-03PP. Looks like you can have a choice of 225 or 245 rears.

If you look on Bridgestones site, they DON'T make a tyre for the HONDA S2000??
And there is no mention of S02 but there are S03's?
StevenM, you've got a lot to answer for. have Bridgestone been following your threads?

I had new rear S02's fitted in Nov 03 and there was no mention then of a supply problem.
Just make sure they are ES02JZ's, as in Feb 03 my garage replaced them with S02JZ by mistake, or to be more accurate the tyre fitters down the road fitted the wrong tyres. They didn't even know that there were different variants of S02's (the tyre fitters that is). Anyway, they were very apollogetic and fitted the new set free (of course), but I did pay for the wear on the tyres which I thought was fair. I managed to take 4mm of the tread and it only cost
