Default Solicitor Advice - Exceeding 70mph - Updated

I'm looking for some Solicitor recommendations.

I've been summoned to appear before the Magistrates Court in Ludlow (They deal with all West Mercia Constabulary Motorway offences) for allegedly exceeding 70 mph (112mph) on the M5, caught by un-marked car and filmed.

Now I was wondering if anyone could recommend a solicitor and if it would be best to get a solicitor from Ludlow rather than add the extra expense of dragging a solicitor all the way up to Ludlow!

Any advice will be greatly received.

Don't know any solicitors in Ludlow but a few of us locally use Thursfields in Kidderminster/Stourport.

The alternative is to recognise you'll be banned and concentrate on the plea in mitigation with a view to keeping the ban as short as possible. You don't need a solicitor for this. So save yourself what will probably be the thick end of

Better start practising the bent over position and buy yourself a tub of vaseline.

As for advice, a letter from your employer saying you need to drive as part of your job may go some way to reducing your sentence.

Oh there is a risk of a ban, as its 30mph more than the speed limit saying that....

I presume if the OP has a clean license, and has a mitigation plea he might get away with only 9 points?.

A friend of mine said he was rushing to see he sick grandma (lame excuse), he was caught doing 69 in a 40mph zone. It worked for him as they didnt ban him, though he was 3 points off getting banned and already had 3 points so he ended up with 9 in total and a fine. He also got a letter off an employer stating he needed his car.

I reckon you'll get 9 points with a fine, or points etc with a 28 day ban.

Best to turn upto court, be polite and humble. The fine is salary based.

Shame your not a footballer.

Best of luck fella.

Oh my god - why haven't you been locked up already?

You are danger to society and a disgrace.

You should be ashamed of your actions.
