So why did you buy the S2000
#51
I bought it to go around
CORNERS fast
Actually, initially it was the appearance that caught my attention, and then the performance charts on EVO (I think ?). I was finding the MX-5 I had a bit sluggish, and lacking in air-con / uniqueness. Norton Way have both Honda & Mazda dealerships side by side, so it was a very easy deal to transact.

Impulse buy. I looked at an EVO 4 and a 400bhp R33 first. Then I was just passing through Letchworth, went by Norton Way, saw the car and just bought it without even going for a test drive!!
I think I made a damn good choice though.

I had a V6 Calibra (I know a Vauxhall!!!)
Spent more time and money in the garage than on the road.
A colleage of mine spoke about the S, although I had never seen one.
I decided that the Calibra was getting a bit dated and I wanted something with a more power and a soft top. Looked at the boxster and TT, then I found the S. Similar performance to the boxster better looking than both, didn't have the porsche badge so was less of a target to vadalism and cost about the same as the TT.
I haven't looked back since - in fact I am thinking of changing my car next year and getting another S2K.
