Default Slight missfire on high revs

Hi guys took my s out today after a couple of days it being stood iv noticed this being the 2nd occasion that i get a slight missfire at around 7-8 k it hesitates and then the power suddenly comes flooding in and its really annoying me it doesnt do it all the time just rarely im not getting any cel code and it drives perfect under vtec car is stock apart from a short ram apexi induction and a single xhaust its not decatted... Its due an oil change but im sure this shudnt b the cause of it i may get some redex injector cleaner and see if it helps but it seems as though the car leans out a little at the high end of the power band wen it decides to have its bitch fit.... Help guys lol thanks

Could be lots of things unfortunately, like MAP, injectors, spark plugs or a coil pack on it's way out.

When did you last get your valve clearances done?

PS - easy on the text speak

haha sorry i was on the iphone, ive got long life plugs in that have only done 4k, reading up some members have said that it could be a low oil issue as it only does it in vtec and vtec works on oil pressure? valve clearences were donw in 2007 which i think is a while ago..can it actually be the valve clearances? do you know what the clearance is as my dad is mechanically minded and can easily do it...... ive read up on the MAP whack but dont have much faith in it. there is no CEL at all. it turns on at ignition and then turns of like it should so im hoping its oil. Will check first thing in morning. get back to me on what the valve clearances should be... much appreciated.

Well check the obvious things first, full tank of fuel, full sump of oil, spark plugs clean and the gap is ok.

If it is a one off occurrence I wouldn't worry, if it keeps happening, even after giving it a mini service I would be more concerned.
