Slick 50 or oil addatives
If you use slick 50 or alike with Teflon added you may possibly be damaging your engine. Teflon is a solid, like adding very fine sand grains to an oil. as a rule of thumb if it says shake before adding to the engine oil, dont use.
Apparently in America the law states that it is legal to advertise any claim on a product, and it is the responsibility of some one else to prove otherwise.
Dupont the maufacturers and designers of PTFE (Teflon) state that it is not suitable for suspension in oil in a combustion engine, there are no advantages but could cause wear to the engine
