skunk2 throttle bodies
Hi,
Anyone used these? Do they actually give power gains? 70mm or 74mm?

Don't bother without an aftermarket ecu.
I had one on for a week and it was a waste of time and money, the ECU was trimming the fuel so much that my scangauge showed -15% long term fuel trim on part throttle. The car spluttered around town and was jerky. You could tell that with the throttle body only half way open it was flowing enough air for the engine because when you put your foot all the way down it didn't increase the acceleration anymore, the engine didn't need the throttle body to open further for it to produce more power.
Better off spending money elsewhere!

Jimmy, buy yourself a standalone unit (something like an AEM series 2 or a Greddy e-management) you should be set for life then. All you would have to do is get it remapped whenever you made a change.

I've got a 74mm throttle body, port matched inlet manifold and 3" intercooler piping. Dunno if it made much difference on mine at 1bar boost.
I wouldn't have thought on an Na setup it woul make much difference. Maybe a tiny bit to be gained from polishing your current inlet manifold.
