Default Skimming brake discs.

I've bought a set of discs from the local scrapyard and its rusted to hell.
Does anyone know where to get brake disc skimmed at south, east Essex?
Preferably Grays, Thurrock area?

you've bought a set of discs from a scrappy? cheaper and easier to buy them from brakes international and you don't have to worry abouts skimming.

Not that that helps you now........sorry.

Brakes from a scrapyard? False economy IMO and possibly dangerous. I've seen plenty of accidents on here where the brake discs have smashed on impact. How do you know that these ones haven't been stressed by the accident?

I got a set for the X/1-9 like that, but they must have been almost brand-new. I even re-used the pads!

Why do yours need skimming? If it's surface corrosion it should wear off.

If it's more serious, bin them.
