Well I'm an enthusiast owner, however I leave it in carparks between cars, tight spaces, down country lanes etc.

It's a car at the end of the day, yes I have the NSX as well, but that's the same, I've driven down green roads barely wider than the car, take it shopping etc left it in hotel car parks.

People do generally be careful around them IMHO, if it's the Chav element you're worried about, they will find you wherever you park.

i've never really given a toss where i park the S (or any other car i've owned for that matter)

life's too short to spend it worrying about minor things like dings and dents and i'm unlikely ever to own a showpiece where they might matter

My car's always parked as far away from others as possible.

I'd rather a longer walk than a door dent.

If I can find an end of row space, then all the better.

I work on the idea that if I can open my door fully without touching the car next to me then they can't hit my car with their door either.

Park miles away in a nice quiet corner of a car park, and whoops perfect spot nice and quiet unseen for a bit of robbery!!!!!

my good god!!! sorry to be slightly controversial here but its an S2000 not a DB9!!! I totally understand people wanting to look after thier cars, as I do. But c'mon!!! parking at the other end of the car park miles from anyone else so you don't have a ding in your door? life is to short, the thing that will look worse (probably!!) is the front looking like it has been shot blast which is inevitable unless you have one of those awful bonnet bra things, at the end of the day a car for me is about enjoying it, driving it, track days, road trips........ not polishing it and worrying about it

everyone is different i suppose....

Each to there own and all that and there's no harm in looking after a car and attempting to keep it as pristine as possible, but to say that because a car is parked somewhere that potentially leaves it open to damage from other outside forces then the owner isn't an enthusiast is absolute tosh IMO.

I've often left my car in the middle of three or more "empty spaces" only to come back half an hour later to find a car on either side of mine.
