Siezed bush...

I have Mugen compliance and Powerflex purple bushes.
They firm up the ride a touch, but do make the car feel tighter
In short:
OEM - Standard (Surprisingly enough )
Mugen/Spoon - Firmer than standard
Purple Poly - Firmer still. The quickest way to rebush the car as the bushes come in three pieces...2x Outer Poly Parts / 1x Inner Metal Sleeve. Once the old bush is out, it only takes 3 seconds to fit the new one
Red Poly - Who knows???

When it splits it will be an MOT failure. Until then it should be ok.
Can you tell the condition of the bush from my pics?

I think firmer ones give a sharper/edger feel???. IIRC this is what chris @CG told me.

that red one fitted in the compliance position is shocking, unless the arm is running in a flat position the bush is allways loaded and being squashed, poly is squashy and has good memory but there are limits!!

mr-pitts do you have this installed on your car? How do you find it? What's the difference between OEM / mugen / spoon / poly?

My opinion is let the suspension do the work not the bushes, flexing chassis,or anything else, that way you can only blame the driver not an ill handling car.
I have the mugen compliance bushes, and I could certainly tell the difference. The front feels more solid, and together, which is good, but you can also feel more vibration and noise. I'd be a bit wary of polybushing the whole car; I think it'd be a bit too unpleasent, although obviously many people have.
