I wouldn't say I got in HUFF Graham. I was just trying to establish some interest in the problem and keep this thread at the top of the board.
Just utilising a bit of hyperbole

As for maintenance, doesn't it fall under similar wossnames to asking for an HDS check? ie ask the dealer to check it out during service?

For someone who owns a car over 5 years old (and also an import) I'd be very interested.

I will be doing a LOT of the maintenance myself, but will be needing to visit Honda for the parts.

I've just voted yes. This is exactly the sort of thing I joined the owners club for.

I too wish I had remembered to raise it at the Institute day but we were having such a nice time I forgot.

Can I just clarify that we are talking about 2 problems if you include what Bada said in his other thread.

One - the bonded bushes in the suspension are failing
Two - the suspension bolts seize in place due to corrosion.

Or are we saying that Two contributes to One in some way?

I think it would be a good idea, if only to get a official line on how Honda regard the problem. As far as I can see this is a design/ manufacturing flaw, not wear and tear.

i dont think s2kuk should do it - s2ki should. its a bigger group with more voice. This problem if it is one - and not just expected wear and tear, is with the design of the car and hence affects worldwide users.

If it was an approach to Honda in Japan, I might agree. But it's not - it's to Honda UK.

s2ki is American-owned and run. It has no "physical" existence - it's just an internet forum. S2KUK is both a UK organisation and is something more tangible.

To the extent that anyone is going to be able to get something done about it (and I am not optimistic that this will get anywhere with Honda), it seems to me to make more sense for the UK Owners Club to be the medium.

Can anyone remember who is the big chief at the Institute. Perhaps a letter to HUK MD copied to him would be a good idea?

Manger for Mr. Dog, I have a delivery here for Mr. Dog

FFS. Not everyone who owns an S2000 visits this board, let alone being a member of S2K UK.

So what do you suggest then? All non members will not be allowed to have the problem rectified if an agreement is reached with Honda?

I appreciate all the effort being made by Bada and Octopuss and hope a result is forthcoming. My car is fine, at the moment, but am sure it wont be too long before it isn't. So a big thanks to you guys, and I have added my vote.

Quite overwhelming support then!

FWIW, the problem is worse (read expensive!) on NSXs.

Most annoying is that it's spoiling the ship for a ha'p'orth o' grease.

Even more most annoying was I first noticed the topic about two years ago, just after I'd had my last alignment done!

Fcuk my lcuk!
