Default Should New Formula Red be Clearcoated

As per title, I gave my S a quick detail today using some Dodo Juice Lime Prime on a DA polisher and got a reasonable amount of paint transfer onto the pad! Now I assume that the New Formula S2000's are not clear coated however before this happened I was convinced they were. Is something wrong here or is it the norm?

TIA
Mick

Da polisher mate! No problems on the detailing side of things, I've been detailing for years but this car definately has no clearcoat which baffled me! :s

Maybe someone has done some touch-up work or spraying etc and you picked it up.
Or is it coming off from every panel?

Absolutely every panel mate! The pad was blood red by the time I had finished!

Perhaps someone has used one of the stained polishes in the past.

All of the S2000 range have clearcoat apart from the original white S2000 (GPW)

There is something very strange about your car Mick, if you are near Hatfield I would like to see it, I can measure your paint to see what might be happening with it.

If you do not have a clearcoat then you MUST protect that paint with a wax else it will eventually go pink
