I don't think the BMW stereotype really runs true these days. Far too many different types of people have them now (3 series anyway). The M series' have never been included in the stereotype either, for me anyway. I find more Mini Cooper S drivers to be nobs than Beemer drivers these days. Of course, there is a connection there......

I would change the stereo-type to middle management company car drivers.
The drive all the 'sport diesel' things - like there's a difference . They are to be found in BMW / Volkswagon / Audi's in the main...the rest (Skoda / renault) can be ignoired because they have a chip on their shoulder cause they can't attain a german diesel !!.
For these people their car is their office which is why they are oblivious to anything happening around them - and do;t care what is outside the Tedious (er..sorry..TDS)
Next time you want to be scared...travel with a salesman whio is missing his target. The last thing on his mind is anything around him.
