Default Shin-Etsu - WTF ?

Just phoned my dealers (Pennine Honda in Ashton) and asked if they had some in. His responce was "Ooooh....never heard of that before.. " I thought here we go...so I said to him I had the part number (08798-9013?) And he replied "Nothing comes up with that, the part number seems to small anyway.....why don't you try our other branch in Rochdale ?? " So i thought ok.

Rung Pennine Honda, Rochdale "hello...i'm after some Shin-Etzu silicone grease, have you got any ? " and guess what - "never heard of that before !! "

So i'm stuck now. Where else can I source some from ?

are you sure you got the part number right? i had the same thing with dixon honda in leeds, but when i gave them the part number and spelled it out about 15 times they got the message and managed to find some.

surely the point of part numbers is that they're not always going to know what you mean when you ask for something, so they just look it up on this new fangled bit of kit called a computer? muppets

I use Holts rubber & nylon lubricant.

Far less messy & probably cheaper too.

Any motor factors should stock it.
