Thanks all

I found Chiltern Connections but thought that they were a rip off as the cost seemed way to high.

Suppose I will just have to cough up.

PS my search did not give me anything useful
Hmm, I just typed "shin etsu" - worked a treat. What did you search for?
That would be telling

I use some silicone grease I got from Amazon does exactly the same job and is a little cheaper.

It'd be useful, so I can make the "How to search sticky" better, thanks.

shin etsu grease in the standard search. I must admit I do have problems searching and marvel at how other members find things I spend hours looking foe

It'd be useful, so I can make the "How to search sticky" better, thanks.

I tried that and this was the 5th post down

https://www.s2ki.com/...__fromsearch__1

And this one 18 posts down https://www.s2ki.com/...__fromsearch__1

Do try the advanced search and view the posts rather then threads - I find this works really well.

Is Shin etsu grease much superior to ordinary plumbing grade clear silicone grease?

Reason I ask is you can pic a tub of this stuff (100g) up for £7:

At £30 incl postage for the Shin stuff from Cliltern Connections I can't help feeling that my trousers are being taken down

If you feel £1.20 a year to protect £320 of rubber (just for the six roof bits) plus whatever other rubber bits you use it on, is harsh and would rather risk having the lot rot for the sake of a few quid, then you could wait till the rubbers fail due to the plumbers stuff not working, and ask Honda to give you a good shafting whilst your trousers are down.
