f22 and f20 differences are only the crank rods and pistons are different otherwise they are the same.
the stroke makes it 2.2 hence why new crank rods and pistons are requred

At 28 miles, it surely couldn't have been run in at all hence, you'll have a nice chance to run it in.
I'd replace the piston, in addition to the valve.
You can replace teh retainers if you want, but the >2004 retainers are strong and can take 10,000.
The bent valve has simply come from valve float.

What would decent second hand engine set you back?
If this is significantly cheaper ask yourself why...
Then decide if it is worth the risk.
Personally, I don't see that it would be any worse than buying an engine from a breaker of a crashed 3 year old car with 20K miles... at least they're telling you this one has been over-revved... buying one from a breakers it may have been over-revved, continuously run low on oil, ragged from cold etc. and you wouldn't know.

If it was over reved at 28 miles it has not been run in properly.
What other damage has been done?
It's your gamble

My first reaction was why bother? your engine is fine so why spend £800 on a contingency plan.
Then again, if it costs you less than £1k to fix you could sell your current engine for £2k and effectively swap engines for £0
Sounds like a plan

Seems like a bargain for someone.

I would add timing chain as well as valve retainers and fixing the damage.
Hopefully the piston crown isnt holed, as thats a PITA and expensive then.
Either way you look at it it is a very good price if you can DIY.
Its a Honda road car not some F1 lump, so anyone can fix it
