What's the age of the car? May need transmission fluid.
Valve clearance are also done every 3 years.

53 means transmission oil should have been changed by now, but if you want to be sure.....

Valve clearance aren't the easiest of Diys but if you are proficient with the spanners you can DIY. Search for a YouTube guide on this forum by ultranexus

Hi, check the FAQ for the service schedule.

Valve clearances aren't too bad; there's a video on Youtube that shows how to do it. If you're not mechanically competent, it's not something I'd recommend though.

If it were me:

Brake inspection (check discs for lips and pads for thickness)
Oil/Filter (ALWAYS use a Honda filter and tighten it up with the correct tool, Castrol Edge 5W-40/Motul X-Cess 5W-40)
Spark Plugs, these aren't cheap at a dealer (£80) but can be had on eBay for £40
Air filter (Unless you have an aftermarket intake, you may as well stick to an OEM filter)
Diff oil (the S only has a rear diff )
Gearbox oil
Brake fluid (RBF600)
Check the coolant, if discoloured, change it
Clutch fluid (RBF600)
Check tyres for wear/pressures, check the brand of tyres fitted, this makes a difference
Get the alignment/geo checked (plenty of info in the FAQ to tell you about potential problems)
Underseal

This will give you a VERY good base from which to start maintenance.

If you want any more info about the above, have a search...it's very useful and 99.9999% of topics have been covered.

Please refrain from using text speak as well

I'd agree with most of the above, but unless you are going to totally de-rust the underside DO NOT under seal your car, as the name suggests it's a seal and should only be applied to freshly prepared surface's, so any rust and you will be sealing it under the coating where it will carry on doing it's dirty deed without you knowing, you should use waxoyl or dinatrol.

That will be the next stage,I am going to get the car on the ramp at some point and take the rust out from under the.rear bumper and from the transmission tunnel and re seal the lot.and then start replacing the bolts which are rusted or may give me problems in the future
