Service Intervals

Service Intervals
Hi,
What does your service manual say about the service intervals. Mine has a table with intervals every 15.000 km (=9320 mile), or every 12 months, with the first big service at 45.000 km.
But the section where the dealer has to sign off services executed, there is mention of a small maintenance in between, so every 7.500 km (=4660 miles).
Strictly speaking, we need to follow this regime to be in order for warranty claims, no ? Its says so in the service manual anyway. But then most dealers deviate from this schedule when asked about it and recommend service every 10.000 km (6213 miles). So what do you guys do ?

Not got an 06 but it sounds broadly in line with how it has been in the past - the earlier of 9,000 miles or 12 months, with optional oil changes at 4,500 mile intervals in between.
My understanding is that you don't need mid-period services in order to comply with the warranty conditions.

The 4500 oil and filter service is an optional service if the vehicle is being used in extreme operating conditions.
Not really neccessary here unless it is a taxi or in a dusty or cold climate.

I would love to Ian but I have not seen any bulletins yet that say the plugs are changed at that mileage, I shall contact Honda on Monday and ask the question of them.
I have seen references to this on the forum but have been waiting responses from other dealers on here.
When I see a 2006 s2000 I shall have a look in teh service book, there is nothing in the brochures about it though.

My service manual says spark plug change at 90.000 km or 72 months for Platinum (???), otherwise at 45.000 km. Platinum mentions S2000 between brackets so that must be it.

Are other cars (ie. not the S2000) at 63k for plug change?
As far as I am concerned, until I have clarification from Honda, the plugs on S2000 and Civic R are changed at the sixth service which is 54000 miles on the 9000 schedule and 75000 miles on the 12500 mile schedule.
I have written a piece for an FAQ and information section on another forum which you can find here FAQ's, note this is not a commercial posting.
