Theres is a plastic grommet in the lower edge of the wing to receive the screw and it's trashed.

Go buy a new grommet.

They can only take 2/3 uses and they wear

When I was putting mine back on, one side didn't secure, I realised that the clip had moved.

I made a note at the time for future reference "For the under arch bolts, check that the receiver clips are still in place."

..... and even took a photo...

That's the puppy
It needs to slot in to the bumper befoer you screw it down.
If it is not perfect and you try to pull it down with the screw you just bore out the plastic and it won't grip!

Thanks Gav, so the clip is stationary i.e attaches to the wing? - just it can move slightly?

Don't remember exactly - when you find it or buy one it will become apparent!

25.

It clips into a square hole so it shouldn't rotate when you turn the screw.

Since the one on the Prelude wouldn't stop turning, I had to muller it to get the bumper off. Not easy, given the limited access.

It doesn't rotate but it does slide in the slot slightly.

you might be able to slide it in but i suspect you'll have to unclip each side of the bumper to do it
