Default Second Lambda problem in 6 months.

The missus got a CEL light shortly after we bought the car, I changed the Lambda sensor and all was well again. Returning from Tesco today [other supermarkets are available] we have a CEL and bloomin' error P0132 again.

The lambda was an e-bay special. Has anyone else had them fail within 6 months? Does anything else throw up a P0132? The car has not been ragged at all.

Thank-you in advance.

Could be the wiring near to the sensor, but most likely the issue is buying a cheapo Ebay special (buy cheap buy twice!)

There are some aftermarket ones which seem to last a while though.

You can buy good quality universal sensors for about £50 (from the likes of Bosch and Denso) and these work and last fine. The cheap Ebay jobs tend to conk out pretty quick (or never work properly in the first place)

Well the "conk out pretty quick" applies to me in spades I guess. I will have a go at getting it replaced as it hasn't lasted a year but my spidey senses are telling me it won't turn out well.

Like I've said in the past several times these cheap ones are no good the majority of the time.

Get a walker one/denso as they are good quality and are the correct response rate.

I've been searching and they aren't often listed as S2000 specific. Is there a more common Honda engine that I could be searching for?
