seatbelt warning noise..any way to switch it off?
Hi all,
I have an annoying problem with my MY04. it is the seatbelt warning tone.....now don't get me wrong, I almost ALWAYS wear my seat belt (except moving car driveway to garage etc.
the problem is that it seems to want me to have my belt on before i turn the key!!!! my procedure is 1. get into car, 2. key to ignition,, 3. turn key, 4. press start 4.5 switch lights on 5. switch/connect GPS setup (30 secs) 6. seatbelt and 7. drive off.
It is very irritating to have this constant loud tone 'reminding' me to put my belt on when I never forget anyway!! I don't feel 'safe' driving with out it anyway
is there any way to disable this 'feature' ie, open seatbelt clip and "adjust" things etc???
I love the hand brake warning however
thanks for any help...
ps. I would like to be able to reconnect this prior to selling the car later.
cheers

I'd suggest swapping for an AP1-100 or an AP1-110. Pure undiluted S2000, with no-namby pambyness.
Failing that, just check the seat belt receiver for wires. Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes with a multimeter to figure out which ones to short to give a permament 'seat belt on' indication. Or change to a new cockpit drill.

A seatbelt reminder chime?
Sounds like Honda is trying to get a 5-star rating for EuroNCAP..!!!
They might even make it and it would be the first Honda to get it too.
