Default seat collapse

put a deposit down on my first 'S' today after several months of looking - well chuffed . Silverstone/blk. Where do I become a fully signed up member - info on here has been invaluable....anyway, to my question:

the drivers side seat wall is a little (not too bad) squashed, mis-shapen, where the prev owner has clearly put weight on it getting in and out - can this be fixed? big, costly job? unstitch, refoam etc? anyone else corrected this as I'm sure mine isn't the first to go?

Cheers all and hope to meet some of you soon....

Try a search if it's working - this is not uncommon, but I can't remember how folk ended up getting it fixed.

(I just bought a new S )

I know Roadkill had a problem - could try refining the search with his name. My bolster creased badly, but never actually collapsed.

MY04 onwards have slightly wider seatbases, so the seat bolsters less likely to get pushed outways by lardarses (like me ).

TTT when more folk come on tomorrow afternoon/evening and you may find someone whose had this and sorted it. The seats certainly come out easy, and an upholsterer should be able to sort the problem fairly easy if you can remove and refit the bolster.

I think Roadkill's got replaced by the dealer. For older ones try this guy:

1: Suggest you read thread in header section of UK S2000 Owners first "What is the difference between S2KI and S2KUK?, ...and what does membership of each brin"

2: Select "MyS2K" at top of screen (in white text in the screen S2K header)
3: In "MyS2K", menu items on lefthand side, select "Purchase Membership"

Enjoy your S.

Surely 2002 cars are now out of warranty though?

To do this under warranty would it have to include a 'ware and tare' option?
