SEAT BELT DEPLOYMENT
G'day Folks,
On my car the seat belts have deployed, and locked them selves, you can not pull either of them, they are locked solid.
I was under the impression that they just need resetting? if so can someone confirm how it is done.
Thanks in advance

Kiwi,
Am I right in thinking that this is post your crash? If not, please disregard the following post, as I am barking up the wrong tree!
Depending on how posh the S2000 is (not checked) it will probably have pre-tensioners for the seatbelts, which will pull the seatbelt socket down and aft in the event of a crash, by use of an explosive charge, similar to the airbag. If this has happened then you will need to replace the female end of the clippy doofer for starters and i would suggest replacing the belts themselves too...
Whether or not I am correct about the pre-tensioner, what has probably happened is that the rollers in the seatbelt reel have ridden up the cams at speed during the crash and got jammed in the non-retracting mode.
Depending on the magnitude of your nadgers, you could probably remove them and persuade the rollers free again, but to be honest, you're probably better off replacing the belts.
I would have thought that the insurance company appointed repairers would have sorted this out?

Once they've stretched, they need replacing.
Replace them.
