Default Scratching an Itch

Seeing Mans GPW potentially up for sale has got me thinking again. I looked for a GPW in May and also in March 03. They are rare as but look fantastic.

Problem is that colour is only available on a Japanese import. I've found a couple of ways to get a late low mileage one. I done my home work, read the FAQ and this

I also realise that importing an +04 is a nightmare so I'm considering a late 03 in either Pearl White or Grand Prix White with the Red/Black interior.

A few questions then

Any one got any pics of a Pearl White?
Any one imported A JDM themselves and can add to the above?
Any one shed any light on mechanical differences (other than head gasket & ECU)?

As it wouldn't have a HUK warranty I'm open to modding it a bit more than my other S. I can run my 06 until I find the right car, pay for it, import it and then sell my 06 so I always have one to

Last question should I seek therapy

Mike you know all the answers to the questions, you're just looking for encouragement.

.................... and TALK him OUT OF IT!

The therapy bit, if you do that you'll not have enough money left to run a 1967 Morris Minor (slammed of course).

Have you seen therapist fees?

White looks an unsatifying car to polish up. But seeing as you actually prefer to drive your car, I say go for it! Is this solely an attempt to find a pre-04 car to which you can fit your Nitrons?

You have PM.

JDM engines have a higher engine pressure and thiner HG.

Having both a UK and a JDM, the JDM's ARE faster!!!!!

Mikey if its of any help mine's a JDM. I got it with a verified 2k miles on it and have run it to 30k and its been a belter.

There is no impact for me on insurance, or UK dealer maintenance ability or charges.

I'd rule out any JDM worries and see what you can find via a specialist importer. There are loads of them about - 1 in Liverpool I believe
