Kielder has some great surrounding roads. You must have covered a lot of miles to get down there.

I believe that there was some interest in another NE meet, we'll have to see what we can organise after Christmas

I managed to clock up 300+ miles!

Great day out, especially the run back in the dark.

Sorry about the petrol station hassle Euan, you're obviously easier on the gas then me. Had to laugh though when we passed the Shell station 2 minutes after I had to fill up with 95RON.

I'm deffo up for a NE meet Neil, weather and work permitting (well, weather - sod work).

Do you know anything about the Kielder Forest Drive - a road is marked (but not on all maps) as a toll road from Kielder, East over the hills to the A68. We could not find it yesterday, so had to go the long way round. Is it open all year round, and is it metalled?

If a Scotmeet runs into England does it become a Britmeet?

Sorry - I can't do any micromeeting this w/e

My winter tyres have arrived up north
so I will be travelling up there to get them fitted.

Sadly no snow is forecast for the return trip, but a good chance to test them in the dry.
