Probably just stuck the price up as they don't have any in stock, £1-2k for most dry sump kits depending on what's in them.

Very interested in this....

I'm a Precision Engineer, but now manage big projects.
Doesn't mean I don;t like getting my hand in.

In fact, I was thinking along the same lines as this thread for some time.
I used to work for a couple of firms involved in motorsport.

I'm very interested in a Dry Sump kit, but the pan is the easy part. Its the pump thats the key aspect.
Sean, what pump are you using? And are you driving it off the crank?

Happy to share ideas etc.

Love tinkering.

I'm currently building a 2.4 stroker NA lump with ITBS.
Could use some other distractions.

There will be a build thread in a bit, but I'm camera shy so it will come when the build is nearly finished.
Its going to be SICK though.

BC Rods, Mahle Pistons, K24 Crank, BC Stage 3 NA Cams, 5 axis cnc ported head, oversize Inconel valvetrain, Supertech springs and retainers, Jenvey ITBS with port matched manifold.

But I was thinking of running a dry sump setup to compensate for potential oil starvation under high G forces.
Plus you should hopefully get another 5% or so BHP due to reduced crank drag.

What pump setup did you go with Steve?
And did you make an oil resevoir or buy one.

Racing Engine Develeopments (RED) make a lovely looking pan and offer a full dry sump kit for the Escort Rally crowd, but it is expensive.

The sump itself is good, jury is out on the pump as the first one I got was fooked from the get go, obviously hadn't been checked before shipping as it didn't even turn.

The rest of the bits in the kit were crap, o-rings for fittings that were the wrong size, fittings screwed into the sump obviously in a hurry that had damaged the gauze in the pickups because he'd forgot to put the seals in behind them.
The sump itself and the mounting plate for the pump weren't finished - holes weren't drilled deep enough and weren't even tapped, all the edges were razor sharp skin removers out of the box.
One I sorted that out, the pump didn't fit with the supplied belt as the spacers for the pump were the wrong size, took months to get him to send out new spacers/missing bolts/o-rings etc, and when they arrived they're still wrong, despite loads of measurements and pictures showing the issue.
Given up, sorted some o-ring ourselves, replaced the gauze filters, made some new spacers and got new bolts for the sump/pump so it's all aligned now.

You expect to spend that sort of money and have a no-hassle, bolt it on and go kit, ended up being a load of hassle and as much work and more money than just making one from scratch would have been.

Nope, 5 sizes of hammer is all I have in my toolbox.
