S2k v crash barrier
Set off at 6am this morning in heavy rain for Cambridgeshire and took it nice and steady because of the poor conditions. Got 10 minutes away from site and in a line of traffic taking a bend and I was the only car that didn't make it out the bend
Have no idea what happened just felt it go light. Was in a 30 zone, car in front brakes, I eased off and changed down a gear and it just didn't follow the curve. Hit the barrier and came to immediate halt. Annoying thing was none of the other cars stopped!
Would have expected rear damaged but it's all front end with a light scuff on the rear.
Recovery driver rang me for directions and when I told him the pub I had passed he knew exactly where I was as he had recently recovered an artic lorry that had gone over the crash barrier and a couple of days later, an MX5 that had landed on top of the barrier with all wheels off the ground!
The bend as I approached it
and where I rolled down the hill to get out the way
and my beautiful car
3 hours in A&E but thankfully no fracture just bruised tendons on my wrist from the steering wheel. Gone into my nominated repair shop and not Stoneacre or Car Clinic that Admiral wanted to take it to (both have bad reputations). Oh well, bound to happen one day, at least it can be fixed.

glad you are ok, and the car will be fine once repaired, it could well have been a spill from the previous vehicles accidents, not in the slightest bit of fun when sliding straight on whilst turning the wheel

Keep an eye on your wrist BoM, my mum had to take evasive action avoiding a dead animal in the middle of the road in her MX5 at night in a 60 zone. She swerved left to right luckerly didn't hit anything however, she did this last February and she is still in pain, she was told it was something to do with the tendons in her wrist, she had it checked out a number of times, numerous steroid injections and she is still in pain.
