My car just had its MOT and passed first time with only advisory being rear tyres running low on tread,

not bad for a 11 year old car

I dont get these "my car passed it MOT - whoopee" posts.

You all make it sound likes it's a big surprise - don't you guys ever check your car over regularly to make sure its all safe and good to use????

Anyone with a modicum of interest in their car, and their safety should be checking their car regularly....

i think it quite impressive for a 11 year old car to pass with nothing wrong with it,

and yes when i changed the engine and it was on stands i did a full underside inspection and wax-oiled it so i was confident but still happy the fact this years MOT only costed me £28 and not hundreds

It's like a birthday thing.
We ought to have a permanant MOT thread (pass or Fail and why), like the spotted thread. Mines due Wednesday may start one then.
