And yes, the two tone nature of the engine makes it good for going with the flow when roads are busy.

I wanted an S for about 6 years before I finally got one. I've now owned it for 14 months and only just starting to exploit the power and get the most out of the car.
Most people want "out of a box" fast car, but if people tried it then there wouldn't be many S's left!
I have never owned a turbo petrol and I doubt I ever will. I would suggest going out for a test drive a couple of times and then go out on a fast track lap with an experienced S driver - then you'll be hooked or certainly very keen to know who you get all that speed.
The S takes time to love and then you'll know what we're on about!!

FWIW I took Chris Franklin's daughter's boyfriend for a passenger ride at Donington (his name escapes me and apologies for the Vicky Pollard style introduction here).
He owns a turbo Glanza and was mightily impressed with the performance of the S2000.
Remember, you can carry much more speed out of a corner in an S2000 meaning you can go faster on the straights. That's why the low powered Caterhams are so fast.

Skylines in standard form tend to match the NSX round the Ring.

I tend to use Ring times as a reference as it's often like a fast A/B road, and due to the distance it sorts the men from the boys.
I also believe Gan San did a 8:30 in the Prototype S2000.
