As an aside, I had a local lad in a heavily modded Starlet keep up with my Evo 8. Loved it, hats off to him!
Those glanza's heavily moddified are little beasties too, basically a better looking starlet.

I nearly bought a moderately modified 99' glanza 4 years ago.

You prefer the S to the Mak, Gaz?
Very different machines. Mak was great for a quick blast down a b-road in any conditions, but I didn't like putting in

Both great cars, but for very different reasons.

Snappiness is easily sorted just don't put it in first coming off a wet roundabout Know what you mean about the rawness and just getting from A-B though new tyres have helped but it's still pretty brutal in the FD2. I'm keeping it for 2 years though and I now know what it's getting replaced with

Boab - always think the spec C looks a bit like your new CTR....

Gaz - I think i'd like a 6 next. The 8 was brilliant and felt really up to date but not as chuckable as the STi5 I had (which is the same era as the Evo 6)

The 6 is definitely fun and oversteer can be had if you want it. Just be ready for expensive services. Last time I decided to do an oil change, I had to change the engine oil, gearbox oil, AYC oil, transfer box oil and diff oil. Puncture a tyre? You have to change all four or ruin the feel of it.

Just doesn't pay to skimp on these cars

How people compare a roadster to a family hatchback is quite beyond me

Nice car it is...a roadster it isn't.
At least it doesn't have a mediocre engine pepped up with a blower
