I thought it was going to be another one of those threads about the owner being excited by their S2000.

Many previous cars I've owned had feeble pip-squeak horns so I would install compressed air twin trumpet horns ( Maseratti was a superb make ) operated via a dash mounted flick switch.
This allowed me use of the feeble horn in circumstances where I merely wished to gently alert pedestrians of my presence, and the air horns for the main roads.
Very old readers will remember that the Reliant Scimitar has such an arrangement as standard.

My S has twin horns yet I still fitted twin air horns operated by a free headlight washer switch fitted in the VSA blank & given to me by the supplying dealer. Silly really when I realised that the standard twin-horns are just as loud as the air ones.

Get one of those horns that those big american articulated lorries have. The type where you can hear it a mile away.

I think I've only sounded mine by accident with the car stationary and it made me jump out of my skin.
Is this quest for a big horn a macho thing or do the ladies have the same urge?

The horn is a little pathetic.

The triple horn I had on my old westie was brilliant though, had to be loud I suppose

Certainly scared the bejesus out of me when I accidentally hit it!
