If you are cooling off ditch them and go get a Honda Direct, seriously.
I would stick the money in a building society account, just in case.

Honda extended warranty replaced my whole engine under warranty. That was definately worth having.
With hindsight, i suspect it was a valve spring retainer failure.

I was able to transfer the remaining Honda warranty on my car over to my name.
Just needed a letter from the previous owner and Honda Warranties transferred it over to me.
Wouldn't trust any of the aftermarket warranties after hearing lots of horror stories from friends and relatives.

Going to bump this.
I feel im going to cancel this WD policy as im in the cooling off period.
Im not fussed about my after market parts being covered themselves but if i went to honda for example to get this cover and something did go with the engine at some point, would I be right in thinking even though they are aware of the aftermarket parts on my car, they will still use them as an excuse not to pay out ?
I want some kind of cover thats all.

As a general rule of thumb, your non Honda parts are not covered, and if anything happened to your car on a covered component that was caused by the failure of a non standard, non approved part then that claim would/should be invalid.
If it was an expensive claim the administrators could ask for an independent inspection from a qualified engineer.
Normally claims are done by the delare over the internet and in most cases there is no problem whatsoever.

Anyone recall whether radron's blown engine claim - which the insurer (seemingly spuriously) blamed on him having had a Spoon ECU - was under Honda's extended warranty or a third party one....?
ExeC, as I understand it, the Honda scheme is administered by an insurance company (AON?) rather than Honda itself. Like any other form of insurance, if there's any doubt or room for wriggle you should fully expect them to seek to exploit it.
They may not do so in practice but I've heard too many horror stories about claims being rejected on the flimsiest of pretexts to have much faith in any third party warranty, even "official" ones like this.

Radron had the honda extended warranty in the days when the warranty was adminstered by warranty holdings. I remember it well as my engine blew not long after.
I think the gist of this thread is that if you have any mods attached to the engine or ancilleries, you won't get a cast iron warranty.
