I see your point Gad but I think the S is pretty much an embodiment of all things driver. Then make a 'drivers' version.

A pretty tasty proposition for me - but yep, 27k does scare me a bit. Maybe a used one at 19 may be a little easier to swallow.

Commercially sensible, Bada; remember BMW are readying the Z2 for the same market. The previous gen. Z2 had to be cancelled because of the Rover fiasco.

The Z4 was supposed to be six-pot only and BMW is disappointed with its sales. Yes, I know I could pop down the town & buy a dildo from the sex shop and a set of 1/12 scale wheels from the R/C shop & produce a better-looking scale model of the Z4 at a fraction of what it cost BMW to do it, but that's not the point.

If they took the Electronic power steering out and put in a similar design to the ITR it would be a major step forward. Probably too expensive though.

Why not just make two? An S2000 (I suppose 2 litre is the minimum you would want now to compete with an MX5 with 1200kg+), and an S3200 for the big boys.

depends what that means

strip out the aircon and sound deadening

stick a few type R badges on it

I'm not that feckin naive

they would need to get it down to 1000kg

and up the power

to get my attention

I confidently predict they won't

You'll probably be right. It'll be a last run for the tooling moulds with a few bits out and a few bits stuck on.

I imagine the best way to find out would be to talk to an NSX fan. What was the major diffs (aside from cosmetic) between the NSX and NSX Type R?
