I came across a floody road yesterday on the way to football training.
I turned around and took the long route.
I would have probably been ok if I had taken it very slowly, but you can't vouch for muppets steaming through in the other direction and sending a bow wave over your engine.

You are very, very lucky. There's no way on earth I'd drive through water more than 12 inches deep in the S2000 - too much to lose!

yep. check your airbox - is your filter wet? Crazy.. not like you HAD to drive through it... could have (and might still) cost you thousands..
"The intake is quite protected on the standard setup"
How do you work that out? It really wouldnt take much to fill it with water if your bonnet was under.

I would not say the bonnet was under, i'd say the water in reality was prob only upto if not below the the top of the wheels but coupled by it being a dip and the nose of the bonnet being low forcing the water over the top and towards you is enough to enduce Panic, oh and the feeling that its too late to stop and change your mind.
already done around another 50 miles so it think there was anything I'd have noticed it by now, car started fine first thing this morning too.
