The problem with drifting the S2000 IMHO is that it doesn't have enough torque at the low end but has too much power at the top end. Thus if you try to get the tail out in 2nd gear at 20-30mph you are off-vtec and she won't budge. If you try to get it out at 50mph in 2nd you are thumping nearly all of its 240bhp onto the road with a trigger happy throttle response making it difficult to mange. One option is the mini-clutch dump to overload the grip and then to hold a lower rev slide

Ok, yes i agree that at 20/30 mph in second is hardly in the power band, but it is a very slippy/wet surface.
I was the first up at Rockingham, 2.00pm and I was shit too ! had great difficulty getting the back end out at all and really surprised at the grip available from the S, i was expecting it to let go much more easily than it did, it was either this or complete 360 ! I asked the instructor to have a go too and he couldnt do it either.

I would also add that I have recently had the car set up at Center Gravity (Thanks Chris) and the car has felt surprisingly stable since in all conditions, especially wet, since this was done.
My car is a MY06 and really didnt think it would gain anything from it, I have been really surprised at the results. Accurate geometry set up seems crucial to get the best from the S, I wonder if owners know just how much adjustment is available ?

I had a long drive home today in flooded road conditions and was really surprised again at how stable the car felt going through standing water, not feeling slippy once. I was so surprised I was pushing it faster to try and make it let go, but it didnt. Ok I wasnt in Vtec but not hanging about !
So as a newish owner of the S2K I have been surprised by many of the comments I ve seen on here about how bad they are in the wet ?
