S2000 Road Tax to increase to

Yup, I'm with Clarkson on this one. I'm going to connect a 12v battery to a washing machine motor to 'convert' my S to hybrid....
Well, maybe...

Get one of those Lexus 450h things.
They don't cause pollution.
Remember, most of the voters ARE that stupid. The rest of the EU is getting this loonie leftie shit too. Classic cars being banned outright from city centres in Germany & other idiocy.
Sooner there's a coup and Bliar & Brownole get Saddamised, the better!

The 15th of the month in which it expires, Jason.
I've just re-taxed the 911 as it runs out at the end of this month. I only stuck 6 months on though - if I'd read this before I did it, I'd have paid for 12 months and so delay as long as possible paying any increased rate

it is only going to get worse I fear
China is planning on building more than 800 coal fired power stations in the next 4 years, India around 300 IIRC. Taxing will do nothing to help the global carbon issue unless the money is spent on finding an alternative to fossil fuels. Even if we find an alternative to fossil fuels for power generation it has to be cheaper to set up and run than fossil fuel based generation AND we would have to distribute the technology for free. If it isn't cheaper then how on earth will we persuade developing nations to use it as they industrialise?
I for one will be buying a house on a hill (hampsted anyone) with big heavy door and one of those crazy American survival kits...

Thing is, he actually believes his chum Zac Goldsmith's eco-twaddle, as opposed to Gordon's more mercenary view of it all as a way of plugging the hole in the country's finances he's made.
We're screwed financially whoever we vote for with regard to our cars.
How much was the fine for dodging car tax? Less than paying for it I believe.......

it's all becoming quite infuriating
from car tax to special light bulbs
we need a fireproof public figure to start arguing back
what's Nelson Mandela up to nowadays?
ps just got my 07/08 Council Tax Demand through
I suspect the much rumoured revaluation is going to be crippling for many people
the assumption that 'nice house = lots of cash' is ridiculous and spiteful

It's only fair, as they've been shafting us for the past 10 years and counting.

The British population is becoming more and more spiteful, led by the politicians and media who portray anyone with more than the average as rich 'toffs' who can and should be bled dry.
F'ing socialists.
